Fort Worth has slowly been gaining a reputation as the center of food innovation as well as live music. I have been dining in some of Fort Worth’s best-kept secrets for many years now, and it’s quite an experience. The food revolution happening in this cow town has seen many of the country’s best new restaurants sprouting up. For those who are searching for a culinary experience like no other, look no further than Magnolia Motor Lounge.
Not your white tablecloth kind of place. At first glance it seems to be a garage bar kind of place, but don’t read a book by its cover. The décor has down home, mellow feeling. You’d usually expect bar/music/restaurant venue to have mediocre food, but it’s nothing short of amazing.
The diverse menu offers innovative and creative food choices for the kiddo to the manly man. Looking at the menu, you almost have to order one of their awesome burgers. My personal favorite is the Magnolia Custom. The burger is topped with ham, grilled mushrooms, fried bacon, pepper jack cheese, and a fried egg to top it off, then serves with hand cut French fries. This is also known as the “heart stopper”. If burgers aren’t your thing they have an amazing grilled chicken breast with pastrami, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers and spicy magnolia sauce all on a nice square doughy bun called the Grand Prix.
You can’t forget every weekend there is always live music from 10:00 to close, bands include some the best up and coming Texas country singers and songwriters. Including bands, Bleu Edmondson, William Clark Green and The Josh Weathers Band.
With a cozy bar area and live music ranging from a guy in guitar to big Texas country bands, Magnolia Motor Lounge is poised to hit all the right notes. Next time you and your friends are looking for a good time as well a culinary experience like no other, Magnolia Motor Lounge is the place to be.
